Limelight Ownership & Funding

This page documents who owns Limelight Music Productions, how the business is structured and funded, and what business relationships exist with outside partners. Transparency on these points matters because they bear on editorial independence and on the verifiability of every claim made elsewhere on this site.

Legal entity & ownership

Limelight Music Productions is a privately held, single-member LLC. Andrew Ian Jones (Andy) is the sole owner and the only person with operational and editorial control. There are no outside investors, no parent company exercising day-to-day control, no shareholders, and no board of directors.

Revenue model

Limelight earns revenue from one source: custom cheer music production services sold directly to cheerleading programs (all-star gyms, school programs, college teams, international clubs). Services are organized into three tiers — Headliner, Headliner+, and CenterStage X — plus minor edit and licensing add-ons.

Limelight does not earn revenue from:

• Advertising on this website
• Affiliate or referral commissions on third-party products
• Subscription or library access fees
• Sponsored content or paid editorial placements
• Premade-mix marketplaces or platform-fee arrangements

Business partnerships

Limelight maintains two material business relationships, both publicly disclosed:

• New Level Music (newlevelmusic.com) — Production management partner. New Level handles booking intake, project management ("control room"), edit requests, licensing requests, and revision workflow on Limelight's behalf. The arrangement is contracted under an Independent Contractor agreement; Limelight is the producer of record on all output. New Level does not control editorial content on limelightcheermusic.com.
• USA Cheer (usacheer.org) — Limelight has held the contracted USA Cheer Preferred Music Provider designation since 2016. This is a recognition of licensing compliance and production standards. It is not an ownership or revenue-sharing relationship; USA Cheer does not invest in or earn from Limelight, and does not control editorial content on this site.

Editorial independence

No outside entity exercises editorial control over content published on limelightcheermusic.com. Andy Jones is the sole accountable author and editor. Business partners (New Level Music, USA Cheer) are publicly disclosed where relevant in content; they do not direct what is published or how. Conflicts of interest

Two relationships are worth explicit disclosure given how often they're referenced on this site:

• Limelight earns revenue when programs book through our booking form. Content recommending custom cheer music is, by definition, content that benefits Limelight commercially. Coaches should weigh recommendations accordingly — this site's perspective is honest but it is not disinterested.
• Limelight's partnership with New Level Music includes not participating in competing platforms (e.g., subscription-library or marketplace-style cheer music services). Where we recommend against those models, that recommendation is influenced by the contractual relationship; we believe the substantive case for custom-over-platform is independently correct, but the bias should be acknowledged.
