Our Standards
USA Cheer Preferred Music Provider Since 2016
Limelight Music Productions is a USA Cheer Preferred Music Provider, a designation held under signed agreement since 2016. The agreement defines what coaches and programs get when they hire a Preferred Provider — and the obligations Limelight meets to keep that designation.
This page lays out those standards: licensing, production process, quality assurance, and accountability.
What "USA Cheer Preferred Music Provider" Actually Means
Signed Agreement With Mutual Responsibilities Since 2016
USA Cheer is the recognized governing body for Sport Cheering in the United States, recognized by the International Cheer Union. Preferred Music Provider status is not an informal listing. It is a written agreement that defines what Limelight delivers and what the designation requires us to maintain.
For coaches and programs, this means three things.
Vetted licensing. Every mix is built within compliance frameworks Limelight is contractually accountable to maintain.
Defined production standards. Quality, turnaround, and revision practices are documented, not improvised.
Accountability path. The designation creates an external standard. If a Preferred Provider falls short, the relationship has consequences. Coaches hiring a Preferred Provider get more than marketing claims.
Our Licensing Standards
Properly licensed music is the baseline, not a feature. Every mix Limelight delivers is cleared for sanctioned competition use.
Licensed Catalogs & Original Composition
Every track is sourced from properly licensed production catalogs or composed original for the team. No streaming-edit shortcuts. No copyright-risk patches.
Sanctioning Body Compliance
Mixes meet the licensing requirements of USASF, USA Cheer, NCA, UCA, NFHS, and ICU sanctioned events. Coaches do not have to verify licensing themselves.
New Level Music Partnership
As production partner of New Level Music, Limelight has access to deep licensed catalogs and original composition resources used by the broader cheer industry.
Licensing Explained in Full

Our Production Process
Every Limelight mix moves through a five-stage process. Standards are applied at every stage, not just at delivery.
Brief & Inspiration
Coach shares routine length, division, theme, vibe, and inspiration tracks. Use the Cheer Music Calculator to plan timing.
Music Selection or Composition
Producer pulls from licensed catalogs that match the brief. For elite tiers, original music is composed exclusively for the team.
Custom Arrangement
Music is arranged in 8-counts around the routine: stunt hits, tumbling builds, pyramid moments, dance breakdowns, and ending impact.
Voiceovers & Sound Design
Custom voiceovers, raps, chants, sound effects, and transitions are recorded in-studio. Each adds team identity and routine energy.
Studio Mastering & Delivery
Final mix is mixed, mastered, and delivered competition-ready. Cleared for any sanctioned event under USASF, USA Cheer, NCA, UCA, NFHS, and ICU rules.
For the complete production deep-dive, see Custom Cheer Music: How It's Made.
Quality Assurance & Revisions
Standards extend past delivery. Every mix has a defined revision process and an accountability path if something is not right.
Revisions are included. Each package tier includes a defined number of revisions. Coaches can request changes to mixes, sections, or specific moments without paying extra.
Response times. Most communications get a reply within 24 to 48 hours during competition season. Production timelines are quoted up front.
Quality checks before final. Every mix passes a final QA pass for level balance, voiceover clarity, and arena-ready master output before delivery.
Escalation path. If a mix is not right, the revision process resolves it. Direct producer contact stays open through the season.
All-sales-final policy. Custom work is non-refundable once production begins. The full policy, including cancellation timing and how revisions cover quality concerns, is on the Refund Policy page.

Communication cadence. Replies within 24 to 48 hours during the season. Coaches always know where their mix stands.
Production timelines by package. Quoted up front and held to. Headliner turns faster than Centerstage X; both timelines are transparent at booking.
Track record. Limelight was founded in 2009. The USA Cheer Preferred Music Provider designation has been held since 2016. Both dates are independently verifiable.
Tier flexibility. Three packages — Headliner, Headliner+, Centerstage X — fit programs from regional teams to Worlds and Summit competitors.
Why These Standards Matter
Coaches hire cheer music producers based on samples, reputation, and price. The Preferred Music Provider designation adds something else: documented, contracted accountability.
Programs hiring a Preferred Provider are not relying on marketing claims. They are relying on a written agreement that defines licensing, quality, and conduct. If something falls short, the designation creates consequences. That is a different kind of trust than a producer who simply says they license their music.
Limelight has held the designation since 2016, across 10+ competition seasons, without interruption.
